Brown trout fishing across Michigan’s rivers has been solid this week, especially during early mornings and late evenings. Anglers are finding success with dry flies and small streamers, particularly in shaded stretches with cooler water temps. The trout are feeding actively in pockets and under structure, with a noticeable uptick after light rain events.

Current river conditions are ideal—moderate flow, clear visibility, and just the right mix of insect hatches to keep things moving. Terrestrials like ants and beetles have also been productive in the afternoons.
